bondtradingAbout Harry van Beuningen
Trade futures based on the 30 Year Treasury Bond (symbol zb), utilizing 5 and 30 minute charts. I use the Williams AO Oscillator in combination with AGET StoRSI and MACD to generate entry signals. Very short term trades, averaging 5 to 6 signals a day.

The overnight price action was dominated by the Spanish bailout news. Prices plummeted at the opening, opening at 148’01, and immediately dropping to 146’28. Prices have since recovered and made a daily high at 148’04 earlier this morning. The 30 minute trend chart remains bearish, and a close above 148’03 turns the trend back to bullish.
The overnight opening created a second settlement gap at the 148’15 level. The first being at 150’21. On the 240 minute chart, sentiment has shifted bearish, and this is shown via the regression channel.
It looks like prices should go lower (settlement gaps notwithstanding), and a logical level would be the 145’28 level, which would represent a symmetrical ABC retracement. The next target lower would be the 1.27 extension at 144’21 and then the 1.68 extension at 143’03.
Price support comes in at 146’13 and then again at 146’03. On the upside, 148’03 provides the first level of resistance.
